This role will have responsibility for developing the overall marketing strategy and annual marketing plans to drive growth and adoption of new offers within Dolby's consumer entertainment division. As a key member of the global marketing team, you will own the translation of business goals into marketing goals and set the strategic approach to drive all downstream marketing engagements and activations. In this role you will lead objective and budget setting, as well as defining measurements to both help model and deliver against performance goals. You'll drive the integrated marketing process for product launches and campaigns, completing ROI analysis and performance optimization.You'll work upstream with key business and partner stakeholders to influence new product development. Critical to the role is leading across internal functions to leverage the full potential of Dolby technology and the Dolby brand, empowering us to engage with the world of entertainment in new and unique ways.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Partner closely with key stakeholders to understand and translate new product and business strategies into compelling and effective marketing strategies for Dolby's Consumer Entertainment Group (CEG)
  • Work upstream to share consumer input and requirements to shape current /future product roadmaps and business models. Serve as the voice of the consumer back into product and business development teams
  • Develop POV on market and competitive landscape, product positioning, unique value proposition, target audience identification, etc. and advise on pricing and monetization strategies for new offers
  • Build approach to launch and grow offers leveraging multiple aspects of the marketing mix. Develop and own ongoing cross-functional marketing calendars, budgets and activation plans
  • Help orchestrate integrated marketing campaigns to drive awareness, acquisition, retention and evangelism across owned / earned / paid channels, influencers, networks and partnerships. Develop and report on KPIs
  • Help guide development of creative assets, content and collateral for industry, partner and consumer audiences that is on-strategy and inspirational
  • Inform data-driven, actionable marketing and experience recommendations. Partner with analytics team to track and assess marketing performance and spend ROI. Look for opportunities to optimize campaign effectiveness and analyze behavior to continuously improve upon the user experience

EXPERIENCE
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in building marketing strategies and successfully driving marketing programs within the consumer tech landscape. Recent experience in apps and / or cloud services
  • 5+ years of experience leading multi-functional marketing teams with direct oversight over some or all of the following: marketing and brand strategy, GTM development and execution, campaign activation including social, paid, mobile media, app marketing, partner marketing, influencer marketing, content and creative development
  • Successful at building cross functional relationships and working closely with engineering, product management, product marketing, brand, PR, creative development, visual design, digital, and research and insights departments
  • Demonstrated experience in launching and driving growth for new products and services. Savvy atidentifying new opportunities to pursue and informing new product and feature development
  • Fluent in monetization and performance based marketing. Proven record of successful funnel development including experience in using analytics/reporting tools to iterate and optimize user journeys
  • Experience in start-up or start-up like environment with theability to build strategy and supporting programs from scratch

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; demonstrated capabilities in identifying, interpreting and applying key findings from a myriad of information sources
  • Skilled at efficiently leveraging external agencies and freelancers to ensure timely execution, fill in capability or resourcegaps
  • Is exceptionally collaborative and comfortable working in a matrix environment with multiple partners and shared services. Successful at negotiating to get work done
  • Must have a positive attitude and can't be afraid to roll-up your sleeves to remove obstacles
