Define the next generation consumer experiences on Mobile!

As a product manager on the Mobile Device product team, you will build products that enhance and revolutionize the consumer experiences across Smartphones and Tablets.

We are looking for a visionary, creative and passionate product leader with experience defining, building, and launching successful products to market. You will build products from new and existing ideas, and develop new products through interaction with customers and partners

Acting as the products’ business owner, you will be responsible for developing and executing the product strategy, positioning, messaging, and pricing. You must possess strong business acumen, creativity, and broad knowledge across industries such as mobile, UGC, and Cloud. You will leverage these experiences to define and build new and innovative products. Your creativity will be challenged as you develop ideas based on an original, novel, or unconventional approach to problem solving.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in technical, or related fields. Previous experience as a software developer desirable.
  • Masters, advanced degree and/or MBA desirable.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in software product management
  • Knowledge and experience in the Mobile, UGC, Cloud, Social Networking, or IoT space and solutions. Must have worked within one or more of these areas.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the mobile ecosystem and key ecosystem players.
  • Deep knowledge of the Mobile OEMs and SoC vendor space, and solutions.
  • Must have working knowledge of Android Mobile operating system.
  • Understanding of audio enhancement technologies used for pre and/or post processing of media content.
  • Passion for enhancing consumer experiences and for “pushing the technology envelope”.
  • Track record of managing a successful product and product portfolio. Proven experience in managing across the complete product lifecycle, from initial concept to end-of-life
  • Strong leadership, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills. Must have as strong public presence with the talent to present.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams, both functionally and geographically.
  • Ability to travel domestically and overseas. International travel and work experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the product lifecycle including strategic planning, definition, development, management, delivery and end of life for your products.
  • Be responsible for and define the detailed product requirements, ensuring that product meets the market needs, revenue, and adoption targets.
  • Develop compelling product positioning, messaging, and value proposition for product or service.
  • Serve as primary product evangelist. Evangelize product to customers, partners, and analysts.
  • Run your product as a business by owning the business case, business model, segmentation, and pricing.
  • Be a contributor of new concepts, methods or technologies or on the development of new ecosystems.
  • Working with the R&D teams, leverage Dolby’s existing technology platforms to bring them to market and contribute ideas that can lead to the creation of new platforms.
  • Support Sales with detailed product information, sales tools, product training, and briefings with customers, eco-system partners, and prospects.
  • Develop a go to market strategy and provide ongoing product support to field and regions.
