Dolby Laboratories is see king a Legal Operations Specialist based in San Francisco . The ideal candidate is resourceful and can work autonomously, take initiative and demonstrate excellent follow through. Reporting to the Director of Legal Operations , this a n opportunity with tremendous growth potential for an ambitious individual with strong administrative , event planning and project management skills. Candidate must be a team player and exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage complex assignments. Candidate must be comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritization in a fast-paced environment with close attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness.

Essential Functions:

  • Administrative support to Legal Operations team
  • Project management of department events, including p lan ning, budget, communications and coordination of all-hands meetings, summer/holiday events and team summits. Oversees logistical planning of events including lodging, entertainment, travel, and meeting /speaker coordination
  • Coordinates event surveys and post - session action items
  • Assists with Department communications
  • Manages Pro Bono events and communications
  • Creates presentations, organizational charts, project management tools, and other documents as needed
  • Coordinates Quarterly Business Review materials
  • Processes Legal Operations and GC purchase order s, invoices and budget accruals
  • Manages Legal Department memberships and MCLE program
  • Maintains Legal Operations and GC document repositories
  • Ma intain s calendar of company and department deadlines, meetings, and events; acts as main resource for Legal Department information
  • Maintains new hire overview for Legal employee onboarding
  • Assists with creation and maintenance of training materials, department policies and business guideline/procedure documents
  • Enhancement and maintenance of Legal intranet sites and implementation of additional knowledge management resources
  • Facilitation of Department trainings, including lunch & learns on new and existing tools
  • Management of legal policy training rollout and compliance tracking


Requirements :
  • B.A. or B.S. required
  • Previous relevant administrative, event planning, communications or legal operations experience preferred
  • High level of initiative, including the ability to identify and implement potential process improvements
  • Exhibits professionalism and composure in stressful situations and in meeting short deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and social skills to support a diverse and dynamic team
  • Comfortable with technology, and has the ability to learn new tools and systems on-the-fly
  • Must be articulate and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in relevant technology including, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word , Excel , Box, SharePoint and SurveyMonkey
  • Strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple-step procedures and handle frequent interruptions
