What This Entails:

 

Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats is seeking a seasonal off-centered Line Cook to join our top notch kitchen team! We pride ourselves on offering delicious food options that perfectly partner with our beers, from pizza to burgers and other scrumptious entrees.  Your quality culinary approach must gel with the team and our menu to support our goal of creating consistently wonderful dining experiences for our guests. You skills must be sharp and your attention precise to ensure consistency of taste, quality and presentation each and every time.  We are crazy busy in the extended summer season so your knack for keeping up with pace and ensuring orders are moving in an efficient and timely manner is key. You’ll need to value preparation and organization as readying your station for service will be part of your day-to-day schedule. The desire and willingness to provide ideas to leadership regarding recommendations for improvement to practices, menu, processes, will serve this new coworker well.  You should be mindful of waste, working to minimize it through proper rotation, storage, labeling and food preparation.  The successful candidate will be committed to the team, safety and sanitation 100% while being an effective communicator to champion these things. What You Need To Land This Gig:

We’re seeking an individual who has at least one year of culinary experience; a culinary degree is strongly desired.  Prior experience working at a fast past restaurant and/or brew pub specifically is a super huge plus!  You must be an effective communicator with a strong working knowledge of safety and sanitation practices and techniques.  Attention to detail is essential to ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation. We seek a dynamic individual who values team work, rocks a passion for the craft beer industry, amazing food and off-centered great beers (and spirits)!  Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats serves lunch and dinner seven days a week, year-round.  Interested applicants must have great scheduling availability and flexibility as evening, weekend and holiday shifts will be needed.  This role requires folks to be on their feet for extended periods of time.  This position will be available until September 30, 2017 (end of season). Note: This position is seasonal, but with your great, quality work, commitment to exceed expectations and kitchen staffing needs, this role could transition into year-round employment.
