What This Entails:

Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated off-centered Multi-Craft Mechanic to join our growing maintenance team. In this important role, you’ll perform a variety of diverse tasks utilizing your wide range of mechanical and technical know-how.  Some of the skills in your handy bag-of-tricks should include a wide range of maintenance capability related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic machines, systems and equipment.  Your demonstrated diagnostic, troubleshooting & repair abilities must be strong and proven. You’ll perform preventive maintenance and installation tasks to support the production process, prescribe preventive maintenance, repair existing equipment (and modify if needed- welding and fabrication skills a must), install new systems, troubleshoot machinery as well as detect and report defective materials and/or questionable conditions to Maintenance leadership. A multi-craft mechanic with hustle, curiosity and a solution-oriented approach will do extremely well in our awesome off-centered culture where we joyfully move the needle every day!

What You Need To Land This Gig:

The qualified candidate will be detail, task, and safety oriented with a strong work ethic toward high-quality work. A high school diploma or the equivalent is required.  The completion of a craft apprenticeship program is preferred. Minimum 5 years manufacturing mechanical experience in a production and/or industrial environment with working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and industrial skills; HVAC exposure and previous experience with high-speed packaging and bottling equipment are preferred. Basic millwright and plumbing skills required. Familiarity with computer applications including Microsoft Office software and CMMS required. Prior experience with sanitary/hygienic equipment (pumps, piping, CIP systems), in-process instrumentation (pH, conductivity, density, turbidity, O2, CO2), and experience with high levels of automation, PLCs, DCS, Siemens or Rockwell/AB a plus. Previous wastewater and utilities experience is helpful. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and sustain work overhead including the use of power/hand tools for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to twist/turn, reach over shoulders, work overhead and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. You must be able to stand/walk on a continual basis and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl during the course of work. You'll need to obtain and maintain active and valid DFHCB forklift certification. The successful candidate will be on the 3rd shift to start and must have a willingness to work in shift rotation as needed.
