What This Entails

Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is growing our awesome Marketing Dept. and seeking our next great addition to the team! As the Off-Centered Marketing Coordinator of PR and Projects, you will report into our Marketing Manager but will split time working closely with our PR Specialist and Traffic Coordinator.  When working with our Traffic Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will be assisting in the facilitation of communication between internal departments and the Creative team to ensure flawless execution and writing creative briefs to inspire off-centered ideas.  When working with our PR Coordinator, your responsibilities will be writing press releases, organizing press mailings and following up with the media to help Dogfish build awareness with newsworthy stories.  You’ll also coordinate schedules and media releases with our social media, brewery brand and hospitality teams and provide timeline and deadlines for marketing department deliverables.  Flexibility, versatility and organizational skills will be key in this position as you’ll be playing an important role to keep Dogfish Head’s dynamic marketing programs on time and on task for our brewery, distillery, inn and restaurant properties.  You must bring your collaborative personality into the mix as you’ll be working closely and building relationships with Dogfish co-workers at all levels and many outside vendors. Having an appreciation of our beers is huge to us as you will be called upon to share your beer knowledge with others. Do you have the right marketing ingredients for this Off-centered recipe? What You Need To Land This Gig:

The qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Biz or other relevant discipline. You must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working on the Account side within an advertising, marketing, or PR firm. You must run the full gamut of exceptional communication skills, including written, spoken, inter-personal and rapport-building with a knack for simplicity in all. You need to be comfortable interpreting loose ideas through dialoguing and collaborating prior to mapping the you-know-what out of them for executing. Really, really strong PC skills with MS Office applications is pretty doggone essential, and experience with Excel is a plus. You must bring a creative noodle to the role, as you’ll need to be resourceful to uncover new and unique marketing opportunities. The very best candidates will have the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience side of things while also bringing a really strong sense of who we are and aren’t, what we’re about, how you’d plug in and why we were made for each other.
