Tax Associate

We're looking for a talented Tax Associate (1-3 years of experience) to join our rapidly growing CPA firm in Austin Texas. We are a firm that holds itself to the highest standards for quality and client service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare income tax returns and related accounting services for various types of entities, including Corporations, Partnerships, S Corps, Individuals and Trusts/Estates
  • Take an active role in executing the timely completion of tax and accounting services to clients; including identification and communication of problems as they arise
  • Maintain active communication with assigned clients to understand their needs, manage their expectations, recognize opportunities and ensure client satisfaction
  • Develop and retain technical tax expertise
  • Develop and apply a working knowledge of various computer applications
  • Maintain the highest degree of professional standards
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality
  • Possess strong ethics and a desire to uphold the core values of our firm
  • Represent the firm in community activities and professional associations

Requirements

All candidates for this position MUST meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of tax experience in public accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant, or currently CPA-eligible and actively in process of sitting for the exam
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, masters in accounting preferred
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship

  • Experience with CCH ProSystems fx and QuickBooks a plus, but not required
  • Spanish speaking a plus, but not required
  • Financial planning experience a plus, but not required
