Programmatic Analyst

Position Summary

Discovery is seeking a Programmatic Analyst to join our data analytics and data strategy team. The position will require to work closely with the inventory teams to analyze the monetization of our non-guaranteed, indirect inventory as well as operational responsibilities within Discovery Digital’s supply side and data management platforms.

The ideal deal candidate will bring strong communication and problem solving skills, proven ability to meet deadlines, and should be very detail oriented. The position involves sales support, cross-team communications, project execution, and tracking program deliverables.


1. Maintaining regular reporting across multiple supply side platforms, producing analysis and providing recommendations on yield optimizations
2. Analyze overall site monetization across multiple revenue channels
3. Managing the creation of first party custom audiences within Discovery’s data management platform
4. Managing the creation and maintenance of private marketplace deals within Discovery’s supply side platforms
5. Collaborating with Revenue and Inventory management teams on monthly billing and revenue recognition processes for private marketplace deals and 3rd party data usage
6. Managing the review and approval of automated guaranteed campaigns
7. Partnering with product marketing and adops teams to maintain accurate pricing of audience products across platforms
8. Identifying and resolving campaign/delivery issues for audience targeted campaigns


Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or Technology/Engineering, or a minimum of 5 years experience in digital media/marketing
1+ years’ work experience required in digital/traditional media
Previous experience working with supply side platforms (ie PubMatic and rubicon), Ad servers (ie DFP and Sizmek), and data management platforms
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions based on data
Very detail oriented
Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with numerous internal teams
Skilled at project tracking and execution
Excellent organization and documentation skills (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong ability to be responsible, accountable and result-driven
