Manager - Revenue Strategy & Analytics

Position Summary

The Manager of Revenue Strategy & Analytics (Digital), reporting to the Director/VP, Digital Revenue Strategy & Analytics will perform the key role of identifying key revenue drivers and developing revenue strategies for the end-to-end Digital business – with an initial focus on Discovery Go Digital Ad Sales. The Manager will be responsible for developing strategies, building the analytics and reports to measure performance against those strategies, and identifying solutions to improve performance.


1. DGo Audience and Impressions Growth
a. Help support the digital growth strategy development and its supporting metrics and analytics, including:
i. Authentication rate, Audience retention, Streams, Length of tune, Ad loads
2. Revenue Strategy and Optimization
a. Help develop the national and programmatic strategies for Discovery Go revenue growth
b. Develop measurement and analytics around digital sales metrics including:
i. Capacities
ii. National Sell-Throughs
iii. Programmatic Sell-Throughs
iv. CPMs
v. Revenue
c. Build strategy and measurement of AE performance, against budget and vs. prior year
d. Help coordinate priorities with IT to systematize the new digital sales processes


5+ years of TV Ad Sales experience
Expertise in Digital Ad Sales data and reporting (3+ years)
Expertise in Media Math (3+ years)
Bachelor’s Degree – Masters or MBA preferred
Very strong data and analytical skills required –strong Excel modelling skills
Experience with pulling data from Business Intelligence tools
Experience working with multiple digital systems including FreeWheel
Experience building management reports
