Digital Project Manager- OTT

Position Summary

The Project Manager within Discovery Digital Media’s team is responsible for enterprise project management, facilitation, implementation and maintenance of products related to OTT, SVOD and related lines of business. In this role, you will collaborate with key stakeholders and product managers to formulate requirements, translate these demands to executable plans, and follow them through to delivery. Most importantly, you will serve as the driving force to steer each project through key milestones from early planning to maintenance.


This position can be located in New York, NY or Silver Spring, MD.


1. Oversee the scheduling of the multiple projects including owning project roadmap
2. Work closely with internal stakeholders, developers, external departments and vendors
3. Create process flow documentation
4. Aggregate business/user requirements and translate into functional specifications
5. Develop and maintain project plans and supporting documentation to track progress and estimate scope
6. Communicate project status to stakeholders and management
7. Identify project risks and mitigation plans to ensure predictability; adjust resources and priorities accordingly
8. Facilitate resolution of design and implementation issues
9. Coordinate quality assurance and user acceptance testing
10. Ensure ongoing requests for enhancement and fixes are appropriately routed and escalated
11. Seek information from in and out of project teams to identify priorities among requests
12. Other duties as assigned


Bachelor’s degree in a related field
5 years of experience in project or product management in Media & Entertainment
Has history of supporting developers and product development process
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional structure
Understanding of agile process, experience with Jira/Confluence type systems
Located in Silver Spring, MD or New York, NY
