Job Description:

What You'll Do

The Lead Third Party Risk Resiliency provides oversight in adherence to the Corporate Risk Policy and helps ensure that Third Party risks are appropriately managed, evidenced and escalated as needed. Assisting with the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive vendor resiliency program which protects the company and customer access to products and services. This involves supporting and establishing strong governance; monitoring and analyzing the potential impact and remediation of disruption to the vendor supply chain, as well as engaging and educating business partners on the scope and need for vendor resiliency. This role requires a highly skilled contributor who can collaborate effectively with business, risk, audit, legal, compliance, regulators, and technology control functions to drive consistent and effective Third-Party Risk resiliency practices.

How You'll Do It

  • Performs due diligence and validation on vendors and identified risk findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional resources to drive progress toward management of third-party resiliency risk.
  • Supports execution of Third-Party Resiliency framework.
  • Executes third party resiliency risk oversight reporting in connection with the Third-Party Risk Management Program, Policy, and framework. These activities include monitoring compliance with the program requirements, supporting the maintenance and enhancements of enterprise policies and procedures, and the oversight of identified critical and strategic services being provided to Discover.

Qualifications You'll Need

The Basics

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Management, Security and Intelligence, Information Technology or related.
  • 4+ years of experience Risk Management, Financial Services, Process Improvement, or related.
  • 4+ years of experience in Implementing Business Continuity Program, Service Continuity, Risk Management, Incident Management, Emergency Management, or related field(s).
  • 2+ years of experience Working in cross functional teams.
  • In Lieu of Education, 6+ years of experience in Business Continuity, Service Continuity, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Risk Management, Third Party Risk Management, Incident Management, or related field(s).

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Masters degree in Business Administration and Management, Security and Intelligence, Information Technology or related.


  • 4+ years of experience Risk Management, Financial Services, Process Improvement, or related, including prior people management experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with compliance regulations, frameworks, and standards.
  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (or other BCP / Resiliency Certification).

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,500.00 to $127,900.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
