Summary: The role of a Customer Service Associate (CSA) is to satisfy the needs of our customers by completing deposit and withdrawal transactions, responding to customer inquiries, issuing money orders, cash advances and cashiers' checks. The Customer Service Associate will assist in opening, closing, and provide service to all banks deposit and consumer loan products to Dime Community Bank customers in the branch market area.

The hourly wage minimum = $20; maximum = $29. The exact pay may vary based on skills, experience, training, licenses/certifications, language necessities, and location.

  • Expediates deposit and withdrawal transitions accurately
  • Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions, counting and packaging currency and coins
  • Process night deposits bags
  • Providing account services to all Dime Community Bank customers
  • Possesses current knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Is familiar with reporting under the Bank Secrecy Act requirements related to Currency Transaction Report (CTR), Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) and Dime Community Bank internal Suspicious Activity Tracking Report
  • Responding to inbound Dime Community Bank customer inquiries
  • Assist New Account and File Maintenance reviews to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data for SOX 404 purposes
  • Mindful of bank product and services with ability to identify the needs of our customers


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of retail banking experience is preferred
  • Cash-handling experience preferred
  • Head Teller experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to be flexible and multitask
  • Advanced PC, Network, E-Mail, Director, Internet, Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and Transaction Research experience preferred
