About The Role

Diageo invest significantly in direct-to-consumer brands building, and to achieve this we partner with our customers to influence at the point of purchase. Most shoppers and consumers buy from a repertoire of brands and their behaviour can be easily influenced by what they see or don't see at the point of purchase. In the Customer Activation team you will partner with our customer teams to understand the needs of shoppers and customers and then collaborate with the marketing team to build the programmes and tools that guarantee amazing execution of our brands.

You will work collaboratively with our sales teams to ensure they have all the insights, growth drivers and tools they need to deliver brilliant execution of Diageo's commercial plan to shift consumer and shopper behavior to achieve Diageo's financial and market share ambition.

Top Accountabilities
  • Deep understanding of customer and consumer needs, through strong commercial skills
  • Bring a strategic lens to activation planning, ensuring initiatives are customer- and channel-centric while rooted in commercial frameworks and business metrics
  • Develop and implement comprehensive, rolling 360-degree activation initiatives that align with overall brand and portfolio priorities, from crafting an strategic plan to flawless execution and performance evaluation
  • Lead external activation and shopper marketing agencies ensuring the delivery of best-in-class, data-driven concepts that elevate shopper engagement and drive conversion at the point of sale
  • Orchestrate all elements of commercial activation with precision - from material and POS development to cross-functional briefings with key accounts, field sales, and agency partners while managing budgets with authority and efficiency
  • Operating seamlessly within a matrix organization, leading internal cross-functional teams with influence and clarity, delegating effectively, and fostering alignment across levels


About You
  • 5+ years experience as Sales or Marketing Executive equivalent - with a proven track record in business delivery
  • Strong end to end commercial FMCG understanding, alongside high levels of numerical competence and attention to detail
  • Project management experience
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • High level of structure, mastering administrative basics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and partnerships internally and externally
  • Problem solver & solution-based teammate who can deal with ambiguity & adapt quickly
  • Polished and engaging presentation skills in order to convince the Commercial Teams of the brand projects and their strategic importance for the business growth
