What We’re Looking For:

We're looking for a creative and analytical Merchandiser to join our Merchandising team. As a member of this team, you will own bringing to life the best product and most compelling offering in the industry for our customer. You will share our passion and commitment to offering our customers beautiful, high quality, and great value clothing.

The right person will be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment, loves solving problems and can thrive in an fast-changing startup culture where agility and cross-functional collaboration is paramount.

What You'll Do:

Building a compelling assortment for our customers

  • Creating an exciting and seasonally relevant product assortment to meet customer needs and drive growth in Dia’s portfolio
  • Digging deep into customer insights and product performance to inform seasonal strategies and lineplans, and continuously manage in-season performance
  • Recognizing new fashion trends and looks early in their lifecycle, and understanding how to best represent them in our assortment
  • Partnering with Design to develop a visually-cohesive and integrated product collection, which is aesthetically appealing, impeccably styled, and on-trend
  • Proactively monitoring product, category and vendor performance and recommending new strategies to drive business performance

 Communicating rich product stories and analytical insights throughout the organization

  • Being the champion for our product strategy and seasonal collections
  • Developing styling campaigns and content to support our Marketing and Styling team partnerships
  • Collecting, analyzing and presenting information to the Merchandising leadership team to ensure optimal decision making

 Building strong and lasting vendor relationships and optimizing our brand portfolio

  • Owning and managing strong, dynamic and innovative partnerships with our brands
  • Continually sourcing new vendors, evaluating their capabilities, and executing new strategies
  • Working with vendors to strengthen processes to ensure best-in-class execution & delivery

 Managing an effective and engaged team in fast-paced environment

  • Prioritizing tasks and operating independently to balance the immediate and long term needs of the business
  • Developing and motivating team members with effective coaching and significant empowerment

 You:

  • 5+ years of experience in a buying or merchandising role, with progressively increasing responsibility in a mix of store and online businesses
  • Experience managing Assistant and Associate Buyers
  • Consumer-centric thinker with a passion for understanding how customers think and shop
  • Eye for style and passion for fashion
  • Ability to take initiative, ownership and accountability for the business
  • Track record of successful negotiation and vendor management
  • Exceptionally analytical and data-driven in your approach
  • Ability to conceptually plan assortments that meet financial objectives
  • Willing to travel on a monthly basis
