Merchandise Assistant/Assistant Buyer

What we're looking for:

  • Support Buyers in executing merchandising strategies; Assist in special projects in support of assortment and vendor strategies
  • Create, maintain and update assortment sheets and purchase orders
  • Monitor purchase orders and track delivery within timeframe
  • Research and identify new vendors to ensure continued freshness in product offerings        
  • Conduct market research regarding trend and pricing
  • Analyze sales trends within vendor portfolio to support growth of categories
  • Provide general administrative support such as data entry when necessary
  • Navigate through internal systems to communicate needs and suggest solutions for troubleshooting to Merchandising team
  • Partner with marketing team to assist with samples organization and photo shoots

You:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree
  • Have relevant internship or work experience within a Merchandising
  • Confident decision-maker: can operate independently
  • Have strong time-management and prioritization skills; Execute priorities with a sense of urgency
  • Have exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail with excellent follow-through
  • Love to crunch numbers and have an aptitude for analytics
  • Passion for product: You love clothing and accessories
  • Can multitask in a high volume and fast-paced environment and adapt to changes with a positive attitude
  • Have familiarity with working with multiple cross-functional partners in a collaborative environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience using Excel and PowerPoint with an aptitude for learning new programs
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism; use proper email and phone etiquette
  • Have a strong desire to work in a start-up environment: you know how to hustle!
