Senior Consultant, Operational Risk, Risk Advisory

Responsibilities
• Executes operational risk projects
• Coordinates with Lead Consultant, Manager, Senior Manager, or Partner on all phases of the engagement, including execution of the project deliverables, communications with the project team, staffing requirements, job planning, and scheduling
• Advises and assists clients on operational risk processes, programs and initiatives
• Provides subject matter expertise in the area of operational risk practices and governance including risk and control self-assessments, internal loss measurement and categorization, external loss surveillance, risk appetite, key risk indicators, issue management, fraud risk management, and data quality programs.
• Assists clients with operational risk activities required to comply with regulatory expectations
• Conducts operational risk assessments to identify opportunities to enhance control environment
• Conducts operational risk testing
• Exercises independent thinking skills by making decisions related to engagements to include dynamic problem solving, risk assessment, quality control, and data and information evaluation
• Promptly brings to the attention of the Lead Consultant, Manager, Senior Manager, Project Manager, or Partner any issues or questions that could potentially result in alterations to the project parameters, costs or deadlines
• Identifies further areas of value-add to create opportunities for future projects
• Professional demeanor towards duties and responsibilities, particularly with regard to independence, professional ethics, and the exercise of professional judgment
• Proficient verbal and written English communication skills; ability to communicate effectively
• Must be reliable and able to meet deadlines
• Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
• Must be highly organized

Qualifications
• BA or BS in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field required
• 3+ years of operational risk management experience preferred
• 2+ years of banking experience preferred
• Experience with implementing operational risk programs preferred
• Familiarity with Basel Committee operational risk guidance preferred
• Thorough working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook preferred
• Data warehouse experience preferred
• Audit experience preferred
• Project management experience preferred
• Quantitative and modeling skills preferred
