The Collections Supervisor role oversees a team of up to 15 employees who work with clients to collect print and digital delinquencies and avoid product cancellation. This role will have experience designing, refining, and managing collection strategies; setting productivity targets and motivating a team to meet/exceed them.

Responsible for overseeing the collection efforts of approximately $30M in internal accounts receivable balances. Evaluate and analyze trends and metrics to determine targets for the department, team and individual goals. Maximize recovery of delinquent AR portfolio through effective management of local and external resources; Achieve bad debt targets on monthly and annual basis.

Supervises a team of collection professionals to drive optimal performance of daily key metric categories including Dollars Collected as % of Total Assigned and Collection calls placed. Delivers new product and job-related training through various curriculum, including team huddles, meetings, and desk-side reviews. Facilitates routine coaching sessions with direct reports, engages with employees to support individual development and mitigate turnover. Responsible for interviewing and hiring staff members, providing training, creating work schedules, filing timesheets, and performing any disciplinary actions.

Based on the monthly aging and/or policy, coordinate collection letters and other electronic communication to be sent. Implement and monitor the process and functionality of the inventory workflow through reporting and/or system accessories. Observe or review employee interactions with customers. Track and report the departments and individual progress and statistics.

Oversees primary management and communication between Company and Outside Collection Agencies (OCA) to ensure timely response of escalations and maximize cash flow from OCA recoveries. Adhere to our Out of Business policy. Evaluate all internal settlement requests for approval or denial.

Knowledge and experience in effective research and troubleshooting, determining root cause and implementing appropriate action with internal and external customers. Ability to respond clearly and effectively with tact & professionalism in a concise manner.

Coordinates and manage projects that will improve overall collection efficiencies including best practice alignment among operations offices, and ongoing collection reengineering initiatives. Assist with test and design of collections systems.

Minimum Qualifications

 3-4 years of Supervisory Experience

■ Must be 18 years of age or older.

■ Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process.

■ Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

■ Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency required.

■ Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)

Additional Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
■ Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
■ General understanding of Billing/Accounts Receivable processes
■ Ability to meet deadlines and make sound business decisions
■ Knowledge of accounts receivable/banking/electronic payments is a plus
■ Ability to understand complex payment/billing issues and analysis
