Group Treasury

Under the leadership of the Group Treasurer, Group Treasury is responsible for managing the finite financial resources of the firm through capital management, liquidity management, asset and liability management, funding, and other core treasury activities. Group Treasury resides within the Group Finance organization led by the Chief Financial Officer.

The position of Associate / AVP - Capital Plan Manager, is within the Capital Planning team in New York. You will report directly to the Vice President coordinating the overall CCAR Capital Plan and Supporting Documentation deliverable. You will be responsible for preparing the Capital Plan for the U.S. IHC. You will interface with subject matter experts, business leaders and program managers across the organization. You will interact with senior level management.

Role Description

The position of Associate / AVP - Capital Plan Manager in our New York Office is responsible for (but not limited to):

  • The overall design, production and coordinated delivery of the Capital Plan for Deutsche Bank's U.S. IHC, DB USA Corporation (Deutsche Bank USA Corp.)
  • Aligning Capital Plan ownership and communication of requirements to Capital Plan stakeholders and contributors
  • Defining and documenting a repeatable process to develop and submit DB USA Corp.'s Capital Plan annually
  • Organizing and aligning reviews of the Capital Plan, including change control and approval processes for submission of Capital Plan as part of the annual CCAR submission
  • Assisting in drafting and editing sections of the Capital Plan (as required)
  • Coordinating the aggregation of the supporting documents for inclusion in FRB Capital Plan submission package
  • Remaining informed and driving compliance with relevant supervisory guidance related to capital planning

Detailed Responsibilities:
  • Subject matter expert on CCAR/DFAST regulations
  • Manage dissemination and incorporation of relevant FRB FAQs and updated guidance
  • Create an outline of requirements to deliver the Capital Plan
  • Create/manage timeline/project plan for Capital Plan section deliverables
  • Track Capital Plan status
  • Create and drive documentation standards including providing training
  • Review Capital Plan sections and provide feedback to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
  • Work with Finance, Risk, Treasury and LoBs on CCAR deliverables
  • Support post submission FRB exam process
  • Engage Audit, Compliance, and Legal in review of the Capital Plan
  • Maintain Capital Plan process flows and controls documentation
  • Assist in ongoing development of capital planning technology infrastructure
  • Define a repeatable process for updating the Capital Plan annually
  • Manage review and approval processes for submission of Capital Plan across the various governing bodies
  • Ensure Supporting Documentation aligns with Capital Plan references
  • Proofread/edit Capital Plan within Wdesk for submission

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher with a concentration in Business, Economics, Finance or related field - MBA or JD a plus
  • Experience in capital planning, regulatory affairs, compliance, or legal services at a financial institution, regulatory agency (e.g., FRB, FDIC) or a law firm specializing in financial institution regulatory affairs
  • Knowledge of current CCAR/DFAST guidance and regulatory initiatives
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written including the ability to draft high quality communications in a clear and concise manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with teams, matrix management, and multiple stakeholders
  • Exceptional process and project management skills, with the ability to execute against tight deadlines and remain agile to evolving requirements
  • Strong presentation skills including proficiency with MS Office suite, proficiency in Wdesk a plus
