Our AFC team is responsible for protecting Deutsche Bank from financial and reputational losses incurred by financial crimes by assessing, controlling and mitigating risks. Risk types related to Anti-Financial Crime are consolidated in a comprehensive and effective risk management framework that covers Anti-Money-Laundering, Sanctions & Embargoes, Anti-Bribery & Corruption as well as Anti-Fraud & Investigations.


You will focus on creating and enhancing Anti-Financial Crimes Management Information (MI) and Reporting in the Americas region. Critical responsibilities include identifying, collecting and preparing management information (MI) for senior management and other AFC stakeholders, developing new MI processes and participating in the rollout of new tools and systems. The role will support the AFC Americas Management Information and Reporting function.

This role will be part of matrix reporting lines: functionally reporting into the Head of Regulation Governance & Enforcement in NY and locally reporting into the Chief Operating Officer for AFC Jacksonville.

  • Manage Americas' AFC MI reporting process and create effective MI that enables risk-based oversight by senior management
  • Structure, organize and deliver standard suite of reporting to relevant Regional and Global management
  • Manage and deliver timely tailored MI reports in line with AFC Governance Reporting calendar
  • Liaise with various AFC Functional teams to communicate data requests and collate submissions
  • Maintain current and updated internal procedure documentation for all AFC reporting and develop process for periodic maintenance to incorporate necessary changes
  • Liaise with global and regional counterparts on a periodic basis to deliver management MI and reports
  • Manage lists of contributors and stakeholders to ensure appropriate collection, dissemination and coverage of Management Information Reports
  • Partner with internal AFC Compliance, AFC Information Technology, Chief Data Office and Business Division stakeholders to conduct gap analysis of AFC metrics
  • Participate in drafting recommendations to enhance design of forward looking AFC MI and reporting
  • Implement approved and agreed upon enhancements from change-the-bank efforts to promote robust risk management and appropriate decision making
  • Liaise with functional management in NY regarding various 3rd party visits to the JAX campus (Regulators, Monitors, etc)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coverage of day-to-day responsibilities relating to AFC MI and Reporting
  • Act as a centralized contact for Americas AFC MI information requests and submissions
  • Continually develop an MI model internally within AFC to promote consistency, quality and timely production
  • Proactively identify weaknesses within reporting lifecycle to leverage historical learning
  • Participating in working groups to execute project requirements and providing transparent input into periodic project plan status updates
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing for MI & Reporting tools and systems
  • Participate in formalizing the AFC MI framework, including maintaining key operating procedures, target operating model, capacity plans, etc

You will have:
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent; post-graduate a plus and/or equivalent work experience
  • Prior AFC, Management Information, Data Analytics or relevant experience
  • Highly professional demeanor with excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of regulatory expectations and industry standards in relation to AFC MI
  • Ability to consume raw data and translate into meaningful, actionable MI
  • Knowledge of applicable AFC laws and regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act
  • Ability to deliver timely and quality execution in a fast-paced and high-pressured environment
  • Detail oriented and organized, as well as proactive in follow up on pending deliverables
  • Flexibility to work extended hours to meet deadlines, when necessary
  • Ability to act decisively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong Technical skills using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience and knowledgeable in utilizing Management Reporting visualization tools (Tableau, Qlikview, etc.) a plus
  • Technical experience with data lineage and source system mapping projects a plus
