The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) combines Deutsche Bank's Corporate Finance, Global Markets and Global Transaction Banking businesses. This new business division was created in 2017 with the aim to ensure greater alignment of product and sales efforts, enabling the bank to deliver a better service to clients and a more focused resource allocation.

Corporate Finance is comprised of regional and industry-focused coverage teams that ensure the delivery of the entire range of financial products and services to the bank's corporate clients. The business includes the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team as well as the debt and equity capital markets (DCM and ECM) teams.

Global Markets is dedicated to building long-term, sustainable relationships with the bank's key corporate and institutional clients. It combines a market-leading institutional sales force, world-class research with trading and structuring expertise to provide clients with access to liquidity and customised solutions across a wide range of markets, products and regions.

Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is a leading global provider of cash management, trade finance and securities services, delivering the full range of commercial banking products and services for both corporates and institutions worldwide.

Electronic Equities group is responsible for research and development of execution algorithms, underlying mathematical trading models and analytics for equities area in Deutsche Bank Markets division. The team supports trading desks in all quantitative aspects. Execution algorithms and analytics are offered to Deutsche Bank's internal trading desks and to external clients through Deutsche Bank's Electronic Autobahn offering.

Key Responsibilities

You will be involved in the development of algorithmic trading models and the support of the day to day activities of the Electronic Execution business. The platform includes execution algorithms, real time signals, back testing, machine learning based recommendation models and analytics associated with the measurement of algorithmic trading performance. There are significant opportunities for running projects on a regional and global basis.

Qualifications:

  • Creative thinker who is driven and self-motivated
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Desire to work in a high-paced, collaborative and team-driven environment
  • Preferred financial background but will consider exceptional candidates from non-financial background

Postgraduate (Masters or PhD) in quantitative or technical field highly regarded:
  • Mathematics
  • Statistics
  • Computer Science
  • Physics
  • Engineering

Expertise in:
  • Statistics and Machine Learning
  • Forecasting and data mining techniques
  • Linear and non-linear regression analysis
  • Neural networks
  • Experience working with large datasets, especially tick data
  • Experience building mathematical models for complex real-world problems

Programming Skills:
  • Python
  • R (or Matlab/Octave)
  • C++ experience highly regarded (or equivalent OO programming language such as C# or Java)
