Director, Revenue Cycle Operations

Role: The Director of Revenue Cycle Operations will be accountable for revenue cycle management providing organizational direction of front and back office processes and performance of collections of general dentistry and orthodontic A/R. The position will confer with the executive staff, providers, accounting, field and other revenue operations management teams, as well as the IT development team to advise and consult on the impact of processes or resources needs as appropriate.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:
 Identify, analyze and implement solutions to improve collection rates, reduce bad debt reduce day sales outstanding, and incrementally achieve a lower cost to collect and achieve optimal AR aging and value
 Negotiate with and hold accountable collection agency partners on their rates and related performance
 Direct the teams and liaison with other Revenue Central Operations departments to provide best in class support and service to our patients and practices
 Ensure Executive, Accounting and Field Management Teams are in tune with current trends, address challenges, and provide direction for remedy in any function adversely affecting revenue cycle
 Serve and designate team members as Subject Matter Experts (SME) for development

projects as established by Operations Steering Committee
 Ability to get hands dirty by pulling part and putting back together simple or complex operational activities

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
 Education/Certification:
o Bachelors degree in Business or related field / experience
o 5 years experience in receivables management within the health care industry required (Dental industry experience highly desirable)

o Minimum three years of proven leadership skills along with prior subordinate experience (30+ desirable)
 Skills/Abilities:
o Strong verbal and written communication skills
o Excellent business and data analysis ability/detail oriented
o Technical aptitude; ability to translate business requirements to system deliverables
o Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office applications and able to adapt to and embrace new applications and programs
o Comfortable with change and a catalyst in making adjustments
