What You'll Do

  • Work with the Senior Director of Information Systems and members of the Academics team to implement Democracy Prep's vision for incorporating technology across its schools
  • Deliver professional development (online and in person) to teachers and school leaders on instructional technologies
  • Provide ongoing nonjudgmental support to teachers, school-based technology associates, and school leaders, responding professionally and quickly to requests
  • Maintain and improve systems that enable seamless use of technology by students, teachers, and leaders
  • Keep an eye on the ed tech market for new tools that fit into DP's model, coordinating and negotiating with ed tech vendors
  • Implement and evaluate small pilots of promising tools at individual school sites
  • Support an Innovative Teacher Professional Learning Community made up of tech-forward teachers at DP schools in pushing boundaries and providing professional development
  • Work with the Academics team and schools to coordinate computer-based state testing
  • Occasional travel to our regions in Louisiana, Washington D.C., Nevada, and New Jersey (5-10%)


Salary range is $60,000 - $65,000 commensurate with your experience. Democracy Prep employees are provided with a benefits package that includes medical, vision, and dental insurance, 403B matching, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, a smartphone, and a laptop.
