The Role
The Manager, Strategy & Insights supports development of Dematic's organic growth strategy by providing insights, facilitating global collaboration, and developing new business capabilities that will enable Dematic to achieve KION's long-term goals while maintaining a position as an industry leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports business intelligence and delivers insight to the broader organization to develop impactful B2B strategies
- Presents market insights and recommendations to senior leadership, leveraging influencing skills to push the organization towards growth
- Supports the strategy process for the business, identifying needs, collecting internal and external data, performing strategic analyses, identifying opportunities and developing implementation plans
- Manages B2B market intelligence sources and is responsible for evangelization of insights throughout the organization leveraging internal integrated communication
- Serves as the global contact for the region teams centrallying compiling requests, managing analyses, and delivering reseach insights
- Serves as internal consultant to support departments marketing strategy
- Manages all reporting that includes leading team members to develop and improve reports
- Responsible for global competitive intelligence that includes collecting intelligence from the regions, validating information, centralizing information to supporting all parts of the organization including product, marketing, sales, technology, service, etc
- Manages the voice of the customer research (B2B) engagements internally that requires vendor management and delivery
What We Are Looking For
Education: Typically Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree.
Knowledge / Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in the material handling, logistics, supply chain or similar industry in a comparable role
- B2B Market research & B2B marketing
- Strong speaker / presenter - confident in front of a large audience public speaking
- Demonstrated presentation skills, ability to build presentations effectively
- Business knowledge - Strategic planning
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop recommendations based on big-data analytics
- Broad background and understanding of distribution center or logistics measure performance
- Project management experience
- Data management and data analysis
- Managing and developing analyst(s)
- B2B marketing agency/consulting a plus
- Great customer rapport
