Business Process Engineer

The Business Process Engineer evaluates, designs, executes, measures, monitors and controls business processes and works to ensure that business process outcomes are in harmony with Enterprise goals. The Business Process Engineer works collaboratively across the Enterprise to help improve the management of business processes. They will focus on the entire process from beginning to end, introducing innovation into the process that will impact results, and assist the Enterprise in meeting goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Defines, implements and maintains business processes and procedures to meet business goals.
  • Ensures business processes are in compliance with customer and Enterprise standards.
  • Develops initiatives for continuous business process improvement.
  • Works with stakeholders to identify business requirements, processes and risks.
  • Drives BPM transformation to improve the customer experience, backend efficiency and reduce total cost by leveraging improvements in the areas of people, process and technology.
  • Uses Enterprise best practices to carry out business process analysis, process measurements and change management activities.
  • Develops and maintains best practices to meet changing business needs.
  • Delivers quick-wins (Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Pilots) that showcase the value of streamlined, repeatable and efficient BPM processes.
  • Supports internal and external communications, assembling various dashboards and analyses.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years professional experience with Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Understand process improvement initiatives and roadmaps.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification highly preferred.
  • Experience in BPM Centers of Excellence (COE).
  • Core skills in organization, communications, project and program management, organizational change management, leadership and coaching.
  • Trusted advisor, honest, up-front and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Team oriented, self-starter, focused on the success of the team.
  • Ability to build relationships and partnerships, and able to deliver difficult news or messages; able to then leverage the strength of the team to rally behind solution development and action.
  • Strong emotional intelligence: Open to/seeks and integrates feedback.
  • Able to identify and address underlying issues/objections and handle ahead of engagement with leadership or team members.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $69,999.72 - $146,600
