The Ground Support Equipment team delivers mission critical support to the Airport Customer Service division by providing safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions and equipment to the airport operation. The GSE team facilitates talent development, equipment acquisition/retirement, maintenance, technology, engineering solutions, and strategic guidance to ensure best-in-class performance. The Analyst - Warranty and Material Handling will be required to develop, track, and report on warranty repairs for new equipment. They will also work with Delta team members to coordinate the acquisition and allocation of new material handling equipment. This role also facilitates cross-divisional continuous improvement efforts by organizing workflows and identifying project objectives with key stakeholders. The GSE team values candidates with an intense curiosity about the processes that drive the airport operation and can devise actionable improvement plans for internal and external leaders.

The successful Senior Analyst GSE will be responsible for reducing maintenance cost through warranty claim coordination of time and materials spent on repair of new equipment. They will work directly with suppliers and our world class maintenance technicians to identify warranty items and track repair claims to completion. This position also will assist with other functions of asset acquisition and will be a key point of contact for vendors and internal customers related to material handling equipment. The ideal candidate must be able learn quickly, identify obstacles/opportunities, and connect with the appropriate leader to formulate/drive action. This individual will be responsible for consistently practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Responsibilities consists of the following duties:

  • Closely collaborate with GSE Maintenance, Accounting, and Quality to implement a robust warranty repair management process
  • Provide summary reports on warranty repairs as they move through the claim lifecycle
  • Audit vendors and invoicing to ensure billing accurately reflects the work completed
  • Work with GSE Asset Team to allocate and purchase new material handling equipment
  • Perform monthly accounting closeout and amortization
  • Track and provide status updates on material handling equipment rentals and leases
  • Work directly with GSE suppliers to coordinate rentals, leases and purchases for the operation

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Ability to meet deadlines, commitments, and handle multiple tasks
  • Detail-oriented, analytical ability and strong oral/written communication skills
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks, projects, and reporting functions and meet deadlines required by the customer
  • Ability to communicate detailed analytical data in simplified terms
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization from GSE technicians to senior leadership, as well as cross-divisionally with Technical Operations, Cargo, and others
  • Must exhibit a positive attitude, be team oriented, and highly supportive of continuous improvement/change management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel required
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with SAP, AssetWorks, and Microsoft Power Apps suite
  • Understanding of airline below wing, cargo, and/or GSE operations
  • Experience with Teradata and sequel programs to query database systems
  • Familiarity with project management principles
