Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) - Administrator

We are currently seeking a Tax Paraprofessional/Administrator to join our Work Opportunity Tax Credit(WOTC) group within the Multistate Tax Services practice.
What you will do
As a Tax Paraprofessional within the Multistate Tax Services group, you will be a valuable member of the Work Opportunity Tax Credit(WOTC) team, functioning as a Client Relationship Manager on various accounts to ensure that all the proper documentation is submitted timely to the State Workforce Agency(SWA).
• Liaison with USI and coordinate USI duties with US based staff
• Ensure that all forms are submitted timely to SWA (either via paper and input manually)
• Role of Client Relationship Manager at accounts, providing updates and help improve the process at various accounts
• Assist with the daily operations of the WOTC group
• Assist and respond to calls from clients and clients' applicants regarding WOTC
• Work with SWA to retrieve and input determinations for clients
• Ensure client submitted payroll files are loaded correctly and in a timely fashion
Deloitte's Multistate Tax Services (MTS) group is the largest state and local tax (SALT) practice in the United States with more than 1,000 professionals nationwide. Our multistate tax professionals include former state tax auditors and administrators, industry personnel, tax practitioners, accounting specialists, and technology personnel with numerous years of multistate tax experience. Collectively, our team has significant experience with the requirements and nuances of jurisdictions in all 50 states. Our specific services include state income and franchise tax, indirect tax, business restructuring, credits and incentives, sales and use tax outsourcing, excise tax, property tax, state strategic tax review, and state tax controversy.
• Experience with State Credits and Incentives: Work Opportunity Tax Credit(WOTC) preferred
• Demonstrated research, documentation, project management, and organizational skills
• Ability to balance multiple client projects and other responsibilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other business-related field preferred
