VIP Security Service Analyst-Deloitte Global

As part of an enhanced global security program at Deloitte, we are seeking to develop customized processes and controls for a select group of "VIPs" to provide them with enhanced security protections. With the support of this program's management, this individual will be responsible for collaborating closely with member firm personnel located within their region (AME, EMEA or APA). The individual being sought should be a creative, self-motivated, highly energetic and results oriented individual passionate about cyber security.

Initial responsibilities will be to collaborate with Deloitte member firms to determine scope, priority, audience and timing of these enhanced security protections:

  • Process development and improvement
  • Assisting in developing/documenting and implementing service processes, roles and governance
  • Ensuring integration of the service with existing processes and approaches
  • Assisting with operational oversight of management, maintenance and continual improvements/enhancements of the process/service in a large global enterprise
  • Working closely with regionally based member firm personnel to identify issues, risks, areas of improvement and the service roadmap
  • Assist in developing, monitoring and reporting metrics

Daily activities will consist of:

  • Applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Working closely with different technology and governance groups Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL)
  • Assisting in managing the development and deployment of the VIP service to member firms
  • Resolving Deloitte member firm inquiries or support escalations
  • Recommending solution improvements/enhancements (e.g. technology, processes and governance)
  • Assisting in vendor management and ongoing coordination
  • Involvement in developing short-term and long-term strategic objectives and approach
  • Assisting in creating custom, 1:1 training and awareness sessions to executives (VIPs) around the world
  • Experience in a variety of leading edge security technologies is strongly advantageous. Ability to work with multiple internal stakeholders and external vendors will be critical keys to success.

Illustrative Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing technical, architectural, deployment, operational and issue escalation/resolution leadership
  • Work closely with Deloitte member firm & DTTL technology personnel to gain an understanding of the business needs
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise and industry standards in requirements gathering, project execution, quality assurance and continuous improvement
  • Assist in defining metrics/scorecards/KPI's to help continually improve the effectiveness of the service
  • Assist in developing/recommending changes in processes, policies, governance and/or resources that relate to the internal development of applications and configuration of network devices
  • Monitor emerging security trends
  • If applicable, helping to manage relationship and interactions with vendors (software or contractors)
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned (e.g. external supplier management, etc.)

Required Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse stakeholders, preferably on a global, multi-national basis
  • Ability to manage concurrent initiatives and use effective judgment in prioritization and time management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to communicate with and present materials to senior audiences
  • Ability to translate technical requirements and challenges to leadership
  • Creative, self-motivated, highly energetic and results oriented
  • Excellent analytical/problem solving ability
  • Strong influence, negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Experience with developing interactive solutions/apps for use on mobile devices (e.g. laptop, tablet, smartphone) and related technologies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially collaboration tools
  • Strong understanding and experience with solution design, architecture, deployment and management in a large, preferably global, enterprise
  • Knowledge or awareness of the following:
  • ISO 27000 series such as 27001, 27002, 27032, 27035
  • NIST SP 800 series
  • PCI DSS
  • ITIL
  • COBIT
  • OWASP Top Ten
  • SANS Institute - CIS Critical Security Controls
  • Standard of Good Practice for Information Security
  • Security architectures and designs (e.g. SIEM, IDS/IPS)
  • Security operations center (SOC) functions and activities
  • Incident management and response
  • Vulnerability management

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements:

  • Although not required, possessing any of the following will be an asset:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Cyber security related certifications/designations, such as:
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
  • GIAC Mobile Device Security Analyst (GMOB)
  • CompTIA Security+

Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in business administration, commerce, computer science, engineering or related field
  • Exposure and/or experience with cyber security industry standards and trends
