Tax - Research and Development (IT / Engineering) Analyst (Melbourne)

Our national R&D Tax team is part of a growing international team; which is now the world's largest. These capabilities allow us to offer our clients a deep and broad base of services, so that the R&D benefits are not considered in isolation. The background of our team members ranges from traditional accounting and law through to science and engineering, with each professional utilising their unique skills and training to assist our clients.

As part of our overall national growth strategy we have an exciting opportunity for an Analyst with a hunger for career progression and a desire to work across a diverse client portfolio.

About the role

You will be providing specialist R&D Tax advice to a diverse range of organisations across the Melbourne region. This will entail liaising with a wide range of company executives and technical staff to assist in identifying and consulting in the technical and financial aspects of cutting edge R&D projects.

You will be involved in:

  • Providing specialist R&D Tax advice to some of Australia's leading organizations - from start-ups to multi- national enterprises
  • Drafting project descriptions for submission to AusIndustry on behalf of our clients
  • Applying your technical skills to interpret and articulate projects into laypersons terms
  • Reviewing and assessing technical substantiating information from clients
  • Preparing cost calculations of R&D projects
  • Supporting client teams ensuring quality is maintained throughout
  • Building client relationships and client service skills
  • Working as part of our national team on complex projects

About your experience

You will currently be working within the a technology or engineering based industry and be keen to join a successful R&D tax practice with a large, challenging client base which will allow you to develop to your full potential.

You have some technical experience, are degree qualified, passionate about discussing technical projects, have strong written and oral communication skills with significant experience writing technical reports.

You have attention to detail and solid time management skills. You enjoy working within teams, and are proactive and eager to learn and advance your R&D Tax related skills.
