Summer Associate - Strategy & Operations, MHA, Consulting - University of North Carolina

Work you'll do

As an MHA/MPH Summer Associate, you'll work with global clients and team members to help develop and implement solutions that address challenges across health systems, academic medical organizations, health plans, pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology, and medical devices. Depending on your experience, you'll have the opportunity to join our Commercial (private institutions or organizations) or Federal (based in Washington, DC, working with key government clients) practice. In either practice, you'll work on a wide variety of client projects in the areas such as revenue cycle optimization, operations improvement, merger integration, supply chain strategy, clinical information system selection and implementation, information management strategy, clinical trials, comparative effectiveness, and medical management. You'll gain a deep understanding of today's rapidly shifting global Life Sciences & Health Care markets and learn how to apply insights to real-world business issues.

The team

Our Life Sciences & Health Care team helps clients address the massive shifts taking place in the competitive global landscape of health and life science. We provide guidance and make strategic recommendations in addition to helping them understand the shifts and trends happening in US and international markets, geographies, and service lines. We work with clients around the world with diverse needs, and help them develop and implement innovative, data-driven solutions that fit within their organizational models and enhance their business' processes and performance.

Qualifications

Required

Current enrollment in one of the following programs: MHA, MPH, MHSA, MBA. Or, an MS or MSN with a focus in health informatics

Strong academic track record

Experience conducting high-level analyses and communicate findings with others

Experience leading and working collaboratively with a team

Willingness to travel

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance (Federal Practice candidates only)
