Summer Associate - Human Capital, Advanced Analytics and Modeling- Columbia University

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for how data and analytics can transform the way an organization generates insights, makes decisions, and improves performance? We’re looking for Human Capital Summer Associates to work with our Advanced Analytics & Modeling (AAM) team and help organizations to better understand their customers and risks, spot anomalies, and tackle real-world problems. You’ll have the chance to work on client assignments and use your quantitative knowledge to help diagnose and solve clients’ business issues using leading edge analytics.

Work you’ll do

As a Human Capital Summer Associate, you’ll assist clients in utilizing data and cutting-edge analytics tools to help them make more informed business decisions. You’ll also help design data-driven solutions using data mining, modeling, visualization, and comprehensive software packages (SAS, R and Tableau) and effectively apply statistics gained from advanced regression and clustering analyses. Whether you’re assisting in the development of a model for insurance companies to better assess customers’ health risks without the need for intrusive medical tests, or helping to calculate the amount of capital necessary to protect a multinational bank from unexpected downturns, you’ll apply analytics to help organizations perform better.
