Strategy & Operations MPA/MPP Summer Associate/Apprentice (Federal and State & Local Opportunities)

Ready to make an impact? We’re looking for a passionate associate to take on a transformative role and make a mark on key government and state clients. As a summer associate, you’ll apply leading-edge business analytics and strategic frameworks to services at the local, state, and federal levels. In this role, you’ll also use your MPA/MPP degree knowledge and professional experience to help ensure the nation’s tax dollars are used with efficiency, accountability and transparency.

Work you’ll do

As a Strategy & Operations summer associate, you’ll be part of a collaborative team environment that helps clients find solutions to some of their most critical operational challenges. You’ll use your analytical and creative thinking skills to design systems and strategies that anticipate and respond effectively to complex and dynamic environments. You’ll also help clients see the big picture and plan their day-to-day operations by developing ways to manage operations, measure performance, and analyze data to potentially help transform the way the government does business.

How you’ll grow

During this exciting and challenging learning experience, you’ll gain first-hand insights into technical skills, critical professional behaviors, standards, and mindsets to help you expand on your previous experience, knowledge and skills. You’ll work with a wide variety of talented strategic leaders and learn how to develop, implement, and measure innovative strategies, tackle real-world business issues head-on, and experience what it’s like to be a part of our work culture.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in an MPA or MPP degree program
  • Strong academic track record (3.5 minimum GPA)
  • Two years of experience for the Consultant role
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage assignments in a team environment
  • For Federal candidates ONLY: U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance
