Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Specialist Master, Technology, Systems Integration, Application Architecture in Austin, TX and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large companies. Provide strategic advice and ensure high quality results regarding clients' business operations and systems. Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; manage day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors. Organize and lead pursuit teams, and contribute and lead aspects of the proposal development process. Participate in the preparation of project proposals and financial strategies, including budget management and forecasting. Promote business development activities by preparing and presenting technical demonstrations, and responding to sales proposals. Manage teams of varying sizes in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design and flow mapping), prototyping, training, defining support procedures. Define the testing strategy for large scale programs and ensure requirements traceability throughout the system development lifecycle. Supervise a team conducting solution development and application architecture using JAVA, J2EE, and Javascript. Manage the development of web applications using Adobe ActionScript, Adobe Flex, and Adobe Flash Builder. Oversee a team performing all phases of system development life cycle implementations for large scale custom developed applications built upon J2EE platforms and deploying on IBM Websphere and Oracle. Monitor the design and implementation of web applications for mobile and desktop using HTML and CSS. Direct the development and execution of automated unit tests for Java, Javascript, and PHP using JUnit, PHPUnit, and QUnit frameworks. Provide guidance on writing optimized SQL queries for data migration using PL/SQL to transfer systems from one agency to another. Guide team designing visual models and constructing components for enterprise-level software applications using Rational Rose. Lead team in developing build scripts in Unix and Windows for automated builds and deployment using Apache Ant. Create and monitor the status of project plans for project deliverables, including the development of test plans, test scenarios, test cases, execution of test cases, and documentation of test results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or a related field.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience providing IT consulting services to clients in public sector on behalf of a global consulting company.
  • Must have five years of experience with:
  • Conducting solution development and application architecture using JAVA, J2EE, and Javascript;
  • Developing web applications using Adobe ActionScript, Adobe Flex, and Adobe Flash Builder;
  • Performing all phases of system development life cycle implementations for large scale custom developed applications built upon J2EE platforms and deploying on IBM Websphere and Oracle;
  • Designing and implementing web applications for mobile and desktop using HTML and CSS;

  • In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree in a related field plus three years of experience.
  • 15% travel required.
