Solution Specialist, Technology, Analytics & Information Management

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Solution Specialist, Technology, Analytics & Information Management in Mechanicsburg, PA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Design, develop, and implement systems and servers to capture, integrate and distribute information in an enterprise. Function as an integrator between business needs and BI/DW technologies to assist in the creation of sustainable technology solutions to meet clients' business needs. Gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines within the practice while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-up opportunities. Define systems strategy; develop system requirements; design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions; and support system implementations. Assist with the implementation and enhancement of enterprise-level data architecture by designing ETL codes, including mappings, transformations, sessions, and workflows, using Informatica PowerCenter. Develop reusable transformations and mapplets to support the creation of complex system mappings in Informatica PowerCenter. Develop batch scripts for reporting and data analytics using Oracle, SQL Server, TOAD, and SQL Developer. Work on the development of overall data warehousing architectures, standards, and data models, and CA ESP Scheduler to maintain job schedules. Perform data cleansing and audit functions to ensure data integrity and quality. Create ETL test plans, cases, scripts, expected results, assumptions, and validations using SQL Server Management Studio and Informatica Workflow Manager. Resolve database and ETL performance issues using SQL Server Management Studio, Toad, and Informatica PowerCenter. Leverage tuning queries to tune and design SQL Server and Oracle database components. Perform gap analysis, analyze logical data models, run data migrations and application build deployments, and conduct performance testing. Create technical design documents to capture source to target mapping, define transformation algorithms, document data quality rules, and flow diagrams using Informatica PowerCenter.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (any), Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Must have one year of experience providing enterprise data management services to clients.
  • Must have one year of experience with:
  • Assisting in the implementation and enhancement of enterprise-level data architecture by designing ETL codes, including mappings, transformations, sessions, and workflows, using Informatica PowerCenter;
