Solution Manager

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Solution Manager in Mechanicsburg, PA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Deliver and deploy custom developed applications for clients, including prototyping, code development, modularization, unit testing, performance testing, configuration and defect management, and production deployment. Manage day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors. Manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design and implement technology and creative business solutions for large companies. Manage teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training and defining support procedures. Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; and contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Perform full system development life cycle implementations. Perform business process analysis, mapping and design. Analyze and perform current state system analysis. Perform conceptual and technical designs including the use of object-oriented analysis and design techniques. Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Oversee teams responsible for redesigning business processes, conducting as-is and to-be analysis, identifying gaps, implementing Oracle ERP solutions, and supplying project deliverables. Manage the implementation of custom reports, interfaces, customizations, extensions using Oracle Retail suite of applications, including Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports/BI Publisher Reports and Oracle database. Lead team in developing technical and functional designs and documents, and business process architecture by mapping client’s business processes, organization, and technology to new Oracle Retail solutions using Oracle RMS. Oversee team responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and upgrading Oracle Retail modules, including RMS, ReSA, RPM, SIM, RIB, Allocation, and REIM. Guide team in developing reporting solutions using Oracle Reports/BI Publisher to provide inventory snapshots, retail sales, and stock ledger reporting. Manage the development of the overall testing strategy, system integration test procedures and use cases to ensure requirements traceability throughout SDLC. Lead team in conducting bug triaging, operating defect life cycle, and executing requirements-based functional unit testing, end to end system integration testing, and regression testing, using HP QC/ALM. Direct the development of cutover strategy and system go-live procedures, deployment of applications and provide post go-live support for daily operations, maintenance and enhancements of integrated ERP systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Business Administration, MIS, CIS or a related field.
  • Five years of experience providing IT consulting services to clients in the consumer and industrial products industry on behalf of a global consulting company.
  • Must have five years of experience with:
  • Redesigning business processes, conducting as-is and to-be analysis, identifying gaps, implementing Oracle ERP solutions, and supplying project deliverables;
  • Implementing custom reports, interfaces, customizations, extensions using Oracle Retail suite of applications, including Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports/BI Publisher Reports and Oracle database;

  • In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in a stated field plus three years of experience.
  • 15% travel required.
