Solution Engineer, Technology, Application Management Services

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Solution Engineer, Technology, Application Management Services in Lake Mary, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Provide IT consulting services to clients in the Healthcare industry. Assist in modifying existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Work with Senior Consultants and Managers to design and develop software systems. Consult with team members to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, and resolve client problems. Work with clients and engagement teams to gather functional requirements, and assist in providing solutions for complex client issues. Provide Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) product function, design, and build expertise for Epic OpTime and Epic Anesthesia modules. Conduct system builds and configurations for Epic EMR modules, including OpTime and Anesthesia, according to client specifications and requirements. Assist clients in implementation, administration, and support of Epic EMR modules including OpTime and Anesthesia. Use Microsoft (MS) tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Access to document project status through the implementation life cycle, to identify project risks, and to institute risk management campaigns. Develop and maintain project documentation, including business and system requirements, workflows and reports using MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Participate in all phases of the testing lifecycle, including the planning and development of testing scripts and materials, and performing unit testing, Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Log, track, and resolve issues and system specification changes. Work with service providers and clients to develop training materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Health Management, Engineering (any), Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
  • One year of experience providing IT consulting services to clients in the healthcare industry on behalf of a global consulting company.
  • Must have one year experience with:
  • Working with clients and engagement teams to gather functional requirements, and assisting in providing solutions for complex client issues;
  • Conducting system builds and configurations for Epic EMR modules, including OpTime and Anesthesia, according to client specifications and requirements;
  • Assisting clients in implementation, administration, and support of Epic EMR modules including OpTime and Anesthesia;
  • Utilizing MS tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Access to document project status through the implementation life cycle to identify project risks, and to institute risk management campaigns;
  • Developing and maintaining project documentation, including business and system requirements, workflows and reports using MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Access;
  • Participating in all phases of the testing lifecycle, including planning and developing of testing scripts and materials, and performing unit testing, SIT and UAT;
  • Logging, tracking, and resolving issues and system specification changes; and
  • Working with service providers and clients to develop training materials.
  • 10% travel required.
