Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Solution Engineer, Technology, Analytics and Information Management, Information Development in Lake Mary, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Design, develop, and implement systems and processes to capture, integrate and distribute information in an enterprise. Function as an integrator between business needs and technology solutions and help create technology solutions to meet clients' business needs. Gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines within the practice while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-up opportunities. Define systems strategy; develop system requirements; design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions; and support system implementation. Identify key drivers of a defined, straightforward problem and propose solutions. Select the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements. Stay abreast of advances in technology. Perform current state analysis, define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design and prototype systems, test, and define support procedures and implementation. Under supervision of senior engineer improve the overall business efficiency, productively, visibility and management of the business by developing Tableau dashboards. Interact with business users to understand and accurately analyze the reporting requirements and business related problems. Design and produce meaningful tables, indexes and contents, including performance and deployment of data visualizations using T-SQL, Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server. Create interactive dashboards and worksheets in Tableau by extracting data from different sources and applying action filters, parameters and LOD calculations. Utilize TABCMD and TABBADMIN to create Tableau scripts and automate daily administrating, monitoring, and maintenance activities. Support migration of objects, including dimensions, measures, hierarchies, reports, workbooks and dashboards from development to production environments. Produce interactive database objects and design data base queries, triggers, stored procedures, constraints, indexes, and functions for reporting and data analytics using Oracle, MS SQL Server, and MSBI-SSIS. Create requirements documentation and best practices for development and administration of the Tableau platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), MIS, CIS or a related field.
  • Must have one year of experience providing IT data management services to clients on behalf of a global consulting company.
  • Must have one year of experience in:
  • Improving the overall business efficiency, productively, visibility and management of the business by developing Tableau dashboards;
  • Interacting with business users to understand and accurately analyze the reporting requirements and business related problems;
  • Designing and producing meaningful tables, indexes and contents, including performance and deployment of data visualization using T-SQL, Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server;
  • Creating interactive dashboards and worksheets in Tableau by extracting data from different sources and applying action filters, parameters and LOD calculations;

  • 15% travel required.
