Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Solution Engineer, National, Consulting Methods and Tool in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and clients nationally.

Work You'll Do

Facilitate definition of requirements, use cases, product management, and functional specifications along with validation and testing services for clients. Provide strategic advice and high quality results to client's business operations and systems. Work within an engagement team. Responsible for identifying business requirements, requirements management, functional design, prototyping, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), testing, training, defining support procedures and supporting implementations. Contribute to testing efforts, including system, integration, user acceptance and performance testing. Define testing strategy for large scale programs and ensure requirements traceability throughout the system development lifecycle. Participate in the development of test plans, test scenarios, test cases, execution of test case and documentation of test results. Document functional and non functional requirements, including business rules, system design, reports, system performance, security, and usability, using IBM Rational Requisite Pro and JIRA. Create screen prototypes, use cases and process flow diagrams using Microsoft Visio and Axure. Develop SQL queries to provide Adhoc reporting and analyze defects using MS SQL Server. Create test data using SOAP UI to track project progress, including developing tasks, and allocating resources and time. Produce reports for deliverables, defects, test cases, work items, and client comments using Microsoft Test Manager. Create work plans and track deliverables and timelines using MS Project Server, and applying Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies to plan projects. Test application database performance using Red Gate and SQL Server. Convert system requirements into Use Cases and Test Cases for entry into Team Foundation Server (TFS) for SIT and UAT testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or a related field.
  • Must have one year of experience providing IT consulting services to clients on behalf of a global consulting company.
  • Must have one year of experience with:
  • Documenting functional and non functional requirements, including business rules, system design, reports, system performance, security, and usability, using IBM Rational Requisite Pro and JIRA;
  • Creating screen prototypes, use cases and process flow diagrams using Microsoft Visio and Axure;
  • Developing SQL queries to provide Adhoc reporting and analyzing defects using MS SQL Server;

  • 15% travel required.
