Software Test Engineer, Life Sciences

Job Responsibilities

Work directly with Scrum teams (Engineering, Product, and QA members of Scrum team) in agile SDLC environment

Design and build the automated test frameworks and processes using Microsoft visual studio environment

Develop test suites for use in development and testing cycles using .NET C#, Selenium, JavaScript, Python, LeanFT and Appium

Create API test suites using RESTsharp, JSON and Python

Deploy testing framework using docker, ansible and Jenkins.

Develop solutions to performance and stress testing of application

Participate in design reviews and code reviews/inspections.

Perform manual testing, the scope of which will encompass all functionality of services as a prequel to automation

Special projects as needed to support an excellent software development process

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field.

Minimum of 3-4 year core development experience as a Software Engineer with ability to read/understand code.

Minimum of 3-4 year of software testing and automation (via designing and building end to end automated testing processes)

Experience in software and test life cycle, methodologies, and processes

Experience with scripting languages (Python, .NET C#, JavaScript, etc)

Experience with Linux tools, DevOps (Jenkins, ansible, docker etc) and Git is preferred

Experience with full web languages and frameworks (HTML, CSS, Angularjs, Angularjs 2, etc) is preferred

Experience in Robotic Process Automation is highly preferred

Strong analytical, troubleshooting/problem solving skills are required

Self-motivated accountability and sense of ownership/pride.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient in testing web and mobile applications

Understanding of application micro-services architecture and technology infrastructure
