SI Banking Transformation - Manager

As a Manager, you help clients set-up, manage, and operate their most complex projects, define functional requirements for technology solutions, and design and derive transformative approaches for technology systems.

Work you'll do

As a Manager in our Financial Services- Banking (Transformation) you contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways, including:

  • Client Management: Manage day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors
  • Delivery: Manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large companies. Responsibilities include, among others, managing teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures.
  • Business Development: Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies
  • People Development: Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices

Our banking and securities practice is recognized for bringing together teams with diverse experience and knowledge to provide customized solutions for all clients.

Managers in the Financial Services– Banking (Transformation) practice are required to have:

  • 8+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience managing and delivering systems
  • Advising financial services companies on the design and implementation of complex transformation programs (i.e., organizational structure, policies and procedures, risk assessment, technology resources, management information systems, etc.)
  • Experience with banking processes and technologies including custom solutions and vendor solutions
  • Experience driving large scale transformations at banking institutions or similar organizations
  • Experience in robotics process automation (i.e., Open Span, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Workfusion) is preferred
  • A minimum of 4 full life cycle implementations
  • 4+ years experienced in managing large program and project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and go live. This effort can be within a management consulting environment or industry.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other project/program management training
  • At least 4 years of program and project scheduling development using MS Project, Evolve/Pro sight (Primavera), or other schedule management packages.
  • Must have 4+ years of experience with issue and risk management and mitigation
  • Transaction algorithm and alert criteria
  • Technology architecture
  • Data requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • A willingness to travel 80 - 100% of the time

In addition, successful Managers will have the following preferred background:

  • 4+ years in change management
  • At least 4 years of experience in documenting standard operating procedures, participating in process reviews and awareness of quality functions
  • Possess strong understanding of software development methodologies (RUP, Agile or other SDLC methodologies).
  • Sequencing and critical path management expertise
  • Awareness of Six Sigma, CMMI, other process improvement techniques and change management procedures is desired.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio,MS PowerPoint).
  • Experience in one or more requirements definition and elicitation techniques including use case modeling, joint application development (JAD), feature oriented domain analysis (FODA),accelerated requirements method(ARM)
  • Experience in one or more prototyping techniques including rapid and evolutionary prototyping.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Exercises mature judgment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of team.
  • Willingness to mentor junior staff in technical areas.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
