Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Solution Engineer, Technology, Application Management Services (AMS), AMS Systems Integration (SI) in Lake Mary, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Design, develop, and implement systems and processes to capture, integrate and distribute information in an enterprise. Function as integrator between business needs and technology solutions and help create and provide technology-based solutions for clients' business needs. Responsibilities include defining systems strategy and support procedures, sizing system requirements, designing, prototyping, testing, training, and implementing technology solutions. Assess all systems charts and programs prior to their implementation. Use Software Development Life Cycle Method to create specifications and design discussions for gaps between packaged application and business processes. Perform and evaluate current state system analysis. Develop computer information resources for data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery. Confer with clients to gather business requirements, perform current state system analysis, and develop technical and functional requirements for application and system implementations. Create versions of project related artifacts, including code enhancements, design documents, and unit test plans using Clear Quest and Rational Team Concert. Design and develop mainframe applications using IBM Mainframe languages including COBOL to develop code, Job Control Language (JCL) to create jobs, and Customer Information Control System (CICS)/IMS DC to support online transaction processing. Utilize ChangeMan to perform software configuration and release management activities. Design and develop IMS DB databases for better handling of large data volumes, develop DB2 tables, and ensure SQL performance tuning using SPUFI. Utilize Teradata SQL Assistant and DB2 databases to conduct impact analysis for developing new functionality and perform unit, user acceptance and system integration testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, CIS, MIS or a related field.
  • Two years of experience providing IT consulting services to clients in the health care industry on behalf of a global consulting company.
  • Must have two years of experience with:
  • Conferring with clients to gather business requirements, performing current state system analysis, and developing technical and functional requirements for application and system implementations;
  • Creating versions of project related artifacts, including code enhancements, design documents, and unit test plans using Clear Quest and Rational Team Concert;
  • Designing and developing mainframe applications using IBM Mainframe languages including COBOL to develop code, Job Control Language (JCL) to create jobs, and Customer Information Control System (CICS)/IMS DC to support online transaction processing;
  • Utilizing ChangeMan to perform software configuration and release management activities;
