Senior Software Developer, UI Front End Development

Work you'll do

As a Senior Consultant within our practice you will:

Deloitte is looking to add an additional experienced software developer to our development team within our Federal Discovery practice in Austin. This team is primarily focused on internal development projects that support the delivery of eDiscovery services to our clients via workflow automation and integration of 3rd party eDiscovery platforms.

This is a hands-on technical role that will help design and implement solutions in a very collaborative, team-oriented manner, following the Scrum development process. The candidate is expected to be a .NET development generalist, with current skills, and a strong desire to continually improve.

  • Perform project tasks independently, and may direct the efforts of others
  • Participate in and/or lead the development of deliverable content that meets the needs of the client and contract
  • Anticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issues
  • Review deliverables for accuracy and quality
  • Provide coaching to junior staff
  • Manage own personal and professional development; seeks opportunities for professional growth and expansion of consulting skills and experience

Our Forensic and Investigations practice provides investigative expertise to analyze events, people, entities and financial data in order to extract relevant insights for our Federal clients' mission-critical needs.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Technology or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
  • At least 3 years of web development experience. (We use ASP.NET and MVC)
  • At least 3 years of development experience on the Microsoft stack.
  • Experience with JavaScript based UI frameworks (We use Aurelia)
  • Skilled in web dev technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST.
  • Strong relational database skills with an enterprise scale RDBMS (We use SQL Server)
  • Experience with version control systems in a team environment (We use GIT)
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Eligible to obtain a US Government security clearance.
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision and guidance
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools

Preferred:

  • Experience in a lead programmer role on a software development project.
  • Development experience with ORM technologies (Entity Framework, NHibernate, etc.)
  • Experience with text analytics (Elasticseach, Content Analyst, DtSearch, Kira, etc.)
  • Familiarity with working on an Agile Scrum team (CSM certification a plus)
  • Domain experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, or a legal context.
  • Hands on experience working with or automating eDiscovery tools or processes.
  • 2+ years of relevant Forensic, Investigative, or Discovery industry experience
  • JD or MBA
