Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations, Business Model Transformation in Boston, MA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Manage team in providing consulting services to clients in the financial services industry, including banks, asset managers, securities and payment institutions. Lead team members in consulting with clients to develop performance improvement hypotheses, cost transformation baselines, synergy and due-diligence points of view. Responsible for the overall development, implementation and progress of strategic business targets. Supervise a business development team which evaluates, analyzes and formulates strategies for business growth. Deliver complex client engagements that identify, design and implement transformations, and drive creative shared services business solutions for leading companies. Provide service excellence by identifying key client business issues, determining client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches, evaluating and validating analysis, and developing recommendations for the client in the context of the overall engagement. Direct the planning and preparation of business proposals and make recommendations to senior management. Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance. Manage teams in conducting industry research and analysis to develop benchmarks and best practices utilizing SNL, ISI Emerging Markets, Gartner and Capital IQ data. Provide guidance in assessing financial market reports and data, including IBIS World, Forrester, Gartner, Kennedy and Alacra to analyze client needs, to support strategic analysis and to provide recommendations. Develop business processes and blueprints to analyze and perform process re-engineering using Microsoft Visio. Oversee the design of project plans using Microsoft Project. Supervise team members in utilizing methodologies including DMAIC and in executing process mapping with Microsoft Visio and IBM WebSphere tools to optimize clients' operational productivity, forecasting and budgeting processes. Support team members in creating cost projections by applying financial and operating budgeting theory and building complex probabilistic scenario-based models. Direct the implementation of sourcing strategies for IT hardware, including total cost of ownership (TCO) model development and request for proposal (RFP) issuance using Ariba and Emptoris e-sourcing tools. Responsible for constructing financial and economic models to provide capital and risk management support. Lead the development of strategy and execution plans by identifying specific user populations and providing maintenance and support in coordination with IT stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Business Administration, CIS, MIS or a related field.
  • Six years of progressively responsible experience providing consulting services to clients on behalf of a global company.
  • Must have six years of experience with:
  • Developing business processes and blueprints to analyze and perform process re-engineering exercises using Microsoft Visio;
  • Designing project plans using Microsoft Project;
  • Utilizing methodologies including DMAIC and executing process mapping with Microsoft Visio and IBM WebSphere tools to optimize clients' operational productivity, forecasting and budgeting processes;
  • Creating cost projections by applying financial and operating budgeting theory and building complex probabilistic scenario-based models;
  • Implementing sourcing strategies for IT hardware, including total cost of ownership (TCO) model development and request for proposal (RFP) issuance using Ariba and Emptoris e-sourcing tools;
  • Constructing financial and economic models to provide capital and risk management support; and
  • Developing strategy and execution plans by identifying specific user populations and providing maintenance and support in coordination with IT stakeholders.
  • 80% travel required.
