Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks Senior Consultant, Technology, Analytics and Information Management (AIM) in Los Angeles, CA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Design, develop and implement Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse (DW) systems and processes to capture, integrate and distribute information in an enterprise. Function as an integrator between business needs and technology solutions and help create technology solutions to meet clients' business needs. Gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines within the practice while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-up opportunities. Deliver components of client engagements that identity, design and implement enterprise data warehousing (EDW) for large companies with a focus on Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) solutions. Evaluate clients' technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical design documentation. Assist team leaders in defining the scope of client engagement, system strategy and ideal state design. Participate in full EDW software development lifecycles, including requirements gathering, application configuration, the design, scripting, code deployments, solution implementation, enhancement validation, defect identification and change requests, and escalations. Utilize ETL tools, including Informatica MDM 10 and Informatica Cloud, to communicate with relational databases in EDW development activities to achieve specific design objectives and to improve data integration and application workflow. Contribute to the design of data processes and ETL workflows from structured and unstructured data sources using PIG, HIVE and Flume. Analyze unstructured data sets using UNIX, Apache SQOOP, HIVE and PIG. Design database queries, triggers, procedures, functions, and packages for reporting and data analytics using SQL Server and MySQL. Write UNIX shell and JCL scripts describing jobs to operating systems. Test, tune, and migrate databases and DW applications in SQL Server and Oracle 10g/11g. Contribute to application testing post-implementation through the development and deployment of testing scripts. Use AGILE-based methodology for project implementations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Engineering (any), Information Technology or a related field.
  • Two years of experience providing IT consulting services to clients on behalf of a global company.
  • Must have two years of experience with:
  • Participating in full EDW software development lifecycles, including requirements gathering, application configuration, design, scripting, code deployments, solution implementation, enhancement validation, defect identification and change requests, and escalations;
  • Utilizing ETL tools, including Informatica MDM 10 and Informatica Cloud, to communicate with relational databases in EDW development activities to achieve specific design objectives and to improve data integration and application workflow;

  • 80% travel required.
