Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Strategy & Operations (S&O), General Management, Core Consulting Skills in New York, New York and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Synthesize overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions by selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business case, pricing, or complex financial analysis, and interpreting and reporting on outputs. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope; develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between work streams, and identify changes in scope. Design deliverable content to precisely reflect the engagement contract and complex client needs and strive to improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of results. Focus on improving operational capabilities as well as quality of deliverables through verification and validation of results. Develop and maintain understanding of the financial services industry, competitive landscape, market participants, key products, and competitive trends. Develop and maintain professional relationships with client executives and management of financial services institutions. Conduct business process re-engineering in the areas of investment management and insurance with a focus on client experience, client service, and cost reduction. Apply Six Sigma and systems dynamics methodologies to optimize process parameters for investment management and insurance clients. Perform operational risk analysis through the review of front to back investment management processes and assessment of key preventive and detective controls, including data governance practices to foster data integrity through conducting industry researching using Forrester, Bloomberg and Reuters. Design and implement operating models for investment management organizations including designing organizational structures, processes, systems and tools, information flows, metrics, and people responsibilities using Tableau, MS Project and Visio, Visual Basic, and SPSS. Provide training and guidance to financial services clients on investment management processes, client service processes, capital markets operations, derivatives and operating model design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Management Information Systems (MIS) or a related field.
  • Must have two years of experience providing strategic consulting services to clients in the financial services industry on behalf of a global consulting company.
  • Must have two years of experience with:
  • Conducting business process re-engineering in the areas of investment management and insurance with a focus on client experience, client service, and cost reduction;
  • Applying Six Sigma and systems dynamics methodologies to optimize process parameters for investment management and insurance clients;
  • Performing operational risk analysis through the review of front to back investment management processes and assessment of key preventive and detective controls, including data governance practices to foster data integrity through conducting industry researching using Forrester, Bloomberg and Reuters;
  • Designing and implementing operating models for investment management organizations including designing organizational structures, processes, systems and tools, information flows, metrics, and people responsibilities using Tableau, MS Project and Visio, Visual Basic, and SPSS; and

  • 80% travel required.
