Senior Business Center Assistant (30 Rock)

Job Summary:

The Administrative Business Center (ABC) provides remote administrative services to Deloitte professionals across all offices in a business center environment. The Senior Business Center Assistant provides advanced administrative and document support in this business center environment, supporting internal clients at all levels and in every function. This individual is responsible for and dependent on effective teamwork and communication, and must foster a positive, collaborative work environment and effectively leverage resources to deliver quality work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities may include but would not be limited to the following: compose and edit memos, letters, emails and other correspondence; format and edit documents such as financial statements, presentations, proposals and other client deliverables according to Deloitte brand standards; provide time and expense support (DTE); provide advanced client engagement support using DPS, including invoicing, reports, opening/closing/reinstating projects and research; process requests for vendor payments and related activities, interacting with Finance as required; create and serve as administrator for eRooms and SharePoint sites; conduct general research as requested using Internet and intranet resources; make domestic and international business travel arrangements; provide Outlook support (email, calendar); provide other administrative support as required.
  • Produce quality work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines as well as customer expectations for quality and accuracy
  • Work independently and accurately
  • Collaborate and coordinate work with other national and local teams virtually and in person
  • Assess requirements for each project; be able to communicate effectively with customers when there are questions or issues to be addressed
  • Know when to question data, and seek resolution before proceeding in order to eliminate wasted time and errors
  • Document project activities clearly and concisely to provide comprehensive project history in workflow management system
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Deloitte brand standards in order to offer accurate guidance to customers
  • Perform additional tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of administrative experience in a large corporate environment
  • Superior customer service experience essential and the ability to manage priorities against tight deadlines
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge and experience – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Some design background a plus (MS Word and PPT)
  • Task oriented and highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively while working on multiple tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required, with the ability to build credibility and collaborate with firm personnel at all levels
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-through skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive, professional attitude and presence
  • Ability to work in a virtual teaming environment utilizing instant messaging, email and phone
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required on both weeknights and weekends
