Role Description

The BP&A Centers of Excellence (CoE) organization provides specialized support to business leaders and teams across the firm. This role directly supports the Accounts Receivable Management (ARM) Business Advisor & Risk team that is part of the BP&A organization. The objective of the team is to champion world class receivable management processes and techniques within the businesses, as well as identify and mitigate receivable risk. This role is to cross-functionally execute the delivery of analysis, reporting, and presentations in support of these objectives and ultimately improve information transparency, risk identification, and decision support. The position will identify and track improvement opportunities as well as support client-centric initiatives to improve and maintain financial health and address business leader goals.

Job Responsibilities

In delivering Accounts Receivable Management capabilities, the role will, among other activities:

  • Work directly with the Management team to deliver recurring and ad-hoc analysis, develop and package reporting, synthesize recommendations within MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Serve as cross-functional support to the Management team and client points of contact for each business
  • Consult with clients within the businesses to understand and positively influence pertinent financials and accounts receivable processes and strategies
  • Drive Accounts Receivable reporting effectiveness, accuracy, and analysis
  • Support periodic portfolio reviews with engagement PPDs and other periodic analysis
  • Identify and communicate potential engagement adjustments
  • Understand and relay techniques to optimize AWIR and maximize cash flow for Deloitte

In improving Accounts Receivables Management capabilities and deliverables:

  • Deploy a Finance Brand for all ARM
  • Create streamlined processes and cross functional solutions for critical receivables needs

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field subject

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in a professional services firm
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:
  • Strong project management skills
  • Supporting multiple and congruent deadlines
  • Collaborating with a team to drive issue resolution
  • Providing data analytics and reporting
  • Driving business process improvement
  • Keen understanding of firm financials

  • Financials: Understanding of financials and firm accounting policies and procedures

Technology or Other Requirements

  • Experience with the use and application of firm Financial Systems: HANA, SAP, DPS
  • Mastery of MS Excel for analysis, reconciliation, and reporting purposes
  • Strong end-use technical and presentation skills required (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Understanding of Tableau and Essbase a plus
