Work you'll do/Responsibilities

  • Create testing work plan
  • Lead creation and execution of system and integration test scripts
  • Analyze results against functional design and expected results
  • Experience with system / integration / user acceptance testing
  • Effective in leading small to medium testing teams (5-6 team size) as well as an individual contributor
  • Strong analytical and problem solving & leadership skills
  • Proficiency in at least one test case management and one defect management tool
  • Ability to generate statistical data and reports
  • Ability to assign work to team members
  • Ability to track progress of team
  • Ability to multi-task & support multiple priorities / multiple deliverables

Qualifications

Required Skills (Automation Testing):

  • Deep experience in Non-functional Automation Testing of client-server and web applications
  • Ability to create Automation Test Approach, estimate automation testing effort & create Test Plan for projects where automation doesn't exist
  • Ability to leverage functional test scenarios, convert them into automated test scripts and measure test automation coverage
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, executing and maintaining automation scripts
  • Ability to create, execute and troubleshoot SQL queries needed to support automated testing
  • Knowledge and experience in applying automation scripts to support functional testing, Unit testing, and Regression testing in a waterfall as well as agile methodology
  • Professional experience using 3 or more development languages (e.g. Python, J2EE, PL/SQL, C#, JavaScript, etc.) and tools (e.g. Jenkins, Maven, GIT, artifactory).
  • Hands-on experience with at least two test automation tools such as [Selenium, TestNG, Sauce Labs, Rest Assured, Postman, Cucumber, Jasmin, Protractor]
  • Hands-on experience with mobile automation tools such as Appium
  • Experience in ALM tool
  • Experience in agile delivery tools: Rally, Jira
  • Has development or testing experience preferably in CI/CT/CD and Agile or DevOps environment.
  • Experience with code versioning and management, including Git, SVN.
  • Experience in Agile/DevOps methodology.
  • Ability to work independently on a project and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Professional experience with various testing methodologies and strategies: Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to decompose complex problems and perform root cause analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of Web technologies, protocols and formats (HTTP, HTML, JSON, REST, XML, etc.)
  • Understanding and experience with testing API services.
  • SDET experience; preferably with virtualization experience.
