Project Analyst, Consulting (Summer/Fall)

We're looking for highly knowledgeable, finance-savvy students with an exceptional eye for detail to help our clients effectively carry out their projects from start to finish to join our Project Controller Analyst program. Our talented project controllers work directly with client project managers either in the office or at the client site to define project goals and objectives, create project budgets and schedules, analyze projects' progress, and make recommendations to streamline workflows. Join us, and work with diverse clients around the globe helping them meet their business objectives using the latest strategic time and cost management planning methods.

Work you'll do

As a Project Controller Analyst, you'll assist project managers and make recommendations to effectively manage projects and resolve issues that arise. You'll maintain compliance with clients' policies, perform internal financial analysis including budgeting, forecasting, and cost variance analysis, and help manage projects' billing and receivables process. You'll also monitor project performance and determine improvement areas by developing key performance indicators and frequently communicate with the project team, finance department, and other project stakeholders to keep projects on track and within the scope of cost. You'll team and collaborate with other controllers across the practice.

The team

Our project controller practice helps clients define what they need and how it can be delivered. We work with clients to define their projects' scope in as much detail as possible using advanced financial, budgeting, and forecasting techniques. We provide realistic cost estimates that account for projects' phases and activities, people, materials, hardware, and software and produce the best- and worst-case estimates using leading-edge project and client management software to keep clients' projects on track and on cost.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a related area
  • Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2)
  • Solid understanding of fundamental accounting and finance principles
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team on multiple task using creative problem-solving
  • Willingness to travel
