Product Development Manager- Cybersecurity virtual chat tool

This role is also open as a 18-24 month assignment ideal for individuals who would like to gain global experience and return to their member firm when the assignment comes to an end. The preferred locations in the US are Chicago, Hermitage and Glen Mills. However, we will consider individuals based in the following locations where we have existing DTTL team members: [Toronto, Canada and London, Milton Keynes in the UK] Due to the global nature of this role, relocation is not required.

As part of an enhanced Confidentiality Culture initiative at Deloitte, we are looking to design, develop or acquire and operate an online interactive cyber security help tool for end users. The project lead will be responsible for day-to-day project ownership and management, serve as primary point of escalation for any and all team impediments and provide input into related activities. The project lead being sought should be a creative, self-motivated, highly energetic and results oriented individual passionate about innovative solution design, interactive technologies and cyber security.

Initial responsibilities will be to lead a needs assessment and create use cases to determine what the interactive cyber security help tool should achieve, and to work with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to identify an effective interactive solution. Once a solution is determined, this individual will be responsible for:

  • Socializing and achieving organization-wide approvals through our established governance process
  • Interactive solution development
  • Developing/documenting and implementing interactive solution processes, roles and governance
  • Ensuring integration of the interactive solution with existing processes and technologies
  • On-boarding and deploying the developed interactive solution and resources to Deloitte member firms
  • Operational oversight of management, maintenance and continual improvements/enhancements of the interactive cyber security help tool in a large global enterprise
  • Developing, monitoring and reporting metrics from the online interactive cyber security help tool

Daily activities will consist of:

  • Managing the development and deployment of the interactive solution to member firms
  • Resolving Deloitte member firm inquiries or support escalations
  • Recommending solution improvements/enhancements (e.g. technology, processes and governance)
  • Vendor management
  • Involvement in developing short-term and long-term strategic objectives and approach

Experience in graphic/visual/interactive user interface/experience (UI/UX) design, integration/delivery of technologies and well-versed knowledge of cyber security is strongly advantageous. Ability to work with multiple internal stakeholders, external vendors and integrating third party products into existing internal systems will be critical keys to success.

Illustrative Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assume ownership and leadership of the project to design and develop an online interactive cyber security help tool, ensuring it operates effectively, efficiently and reliably
  • Provide technical, architectural, deployment, operational and issue escalation/resolution leadership
  • As it relates to the online interactive cyber security help tool, provide project, operational and incident status updates to senior leadership
  • Provide UI/UX design and interactive technology expertise and assist in defining strategic direction for the project
  • Work closely with Deloitte member firm & DTTL technology leaders to gain an understanding of the business requirements
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise and industry standards in requirements gathering, project execution, quality assurance and continuous improvement
  • Manage and oversee day-to-day activities of the online interactive cyber security help team (potentially several offshore resources)
  • Estimate resources (staff and other) required to achieve project goals and manage assigned budget throughout its execution
  • Define metrics/scorecards/KPI's to help continually improve the effectiveness of the interactive cyber security help service
  • Develop/recommend changes in processes, policies, governance and/or resources that relate to the interactive cyber security help service platform to optimize and improve its value
  • Monitor emerging UI/UX design and interactive technology trends
  • If applicable, manage relationship and interactions with vendors (software or contractors)
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned (e.g. external supplier management, conduct security review of third party vendors and products, etc.)

Required Technical Skills:

  • Program leadership and management experience with projects of different sizes

  • Expertise with programming languages such as HTML, XHTML, Java, CSS, C, C++, C#
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially collaboration tools
  • Strong understanding and experience with solution design, architecture, deployment and management in a large, preferably global, enterprise

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements

  • Although not required, possessing any of the following will be an asset:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Cyber security related certifications/designations, such as:
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
  • GIAC Mobile Device Security Analyst (GMOB)
  • CompTIA Security+

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in business administration, commerce, computer science, engineering or related field
  • 6-10 years of experience in UI/UX design and interactive technologies
  • Progressive leadership and/or technology and UI/UX consulting experience on large enterprise projects
  • Exposure and/or experience with cyber security industry standards and trends
