National Partner Services – Internal Tax Consultant (Sydney)

About the role:

The National Partner Services team administers the firm’s tax along with partner tax compliance, partner corporate compliance and all matters in relation to partner payroll, partner insurance and admissions and retirements of partners. Our Team is growing, and services the Deloitte business nationally, with some international exposure.

We are currently looking for a high performing and ambitious professional to join the team in Sydney. You will participate in the delivery of client engagements with family groups and all their entities including SMSF. You will be responsible for financial statement preparation, income tax preparation for a range of entities. Your growth and development will be focused on tax and building strong relationships with clients.

  • Preparing and reviewing clients compliance work – tax and accounting requirements
  • Preparing and reviewing clients tax returns and accounts
  • Preparing and reviewing tax and cash flow estimates
  • Assisting clients with structuring arrangements
  • Knowledge of IAS and BAS
  • Communicating with regulatory authorities
  • Keeping up to date with new Tax & Compliance legislations

About you:

This role requires somebody with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You will have a business degree and be progressing towards completion of a CA or CPA qualification. You will also have relevant experience within a similar role in an accounting firm.

To be successful you will also:

  • Exhibit an understanding of Australian accounting and tax rules, with experience in the preparation and review of tax returns / accounts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
